This is an essential protection part that you must have. As you are aware the bike will not move if the sidestand is deployed so if anything happen to the switch as a result of an unlikely hit or fall, it could give a signal that the sidestand is deployed and the bike would simply refuse to move , which to say the least could spoil your trip. Made of 2mm high-duty stainless steel and comes powder coated in black or silver.
